The Angels remind us that when we feel overwhelmed by the energy of the world, we always have access to the energy inside. It never leaves us, we only have to learn how to access it through our inner guidance.
The Angels remind us to appreciate the gifts we receive, even if they’re wrapped in packages we don’t understand or wouldn’t have chosen. So many time we throw out something valuable because it doesn’t appear so on the outside. As Mary Oliver writes, even darkness can be a gift.
The Angels remind us that under our feelings of being tired, overwhelmed, and unworthy, there is a deep, clear pool of nourishment and strength, which we can return to anytime we need it. Visualize the cool, dark water, the way it cradles and releases all the feelings and beliefs that no longer serve. Float in the safety and protection of the well inside.
It’s not your job to save the world
Though you may feel it heavy on your bones
Like the weight of a thousand tomorrows
Crashing down like an angry wave
Which slips violently onto shore
And back out again with only darkness on its lips
Carrying sand, shells, sediment
Churning the contents of the shallow wading pools,
Disrupting the fishes at the shore,
Creating a subtle new reality after its retreat
Only to give way to the next,
Relentless in its consistency and calm,
Churning and changing in the gentle light,
Never leaving the shore
The same as it was found
And so, in your daily walk,
When the call becomes a battle cry,
Let the waves land upon your heart with love,
Churning up the sediment of fear,
Disrupting the pattern of resistance,
Creating a new truth –
A truth which is only found inside
The Angels remind us to let our minds got to the places that frighten us most, those places deep inside that we pretend don’t exist. There, we find a well of wisdom and knowledge, just waiting to be shared.
