Inner Truth

inner truth2

Dear ones,
It’s not your job to save the world
Though you may feel it heavy on your bones
Like the weight of a thousand tomorrows
Crashing down like an angry wave
Which slips violently onto shore
And back out again with only darkness on its lips

Carrying sand, shells, sediment
Churning the contents of the shallow wading pools,
Disrupting the fishes at the shore,
Creating a subtle new reality after its retreat

Only to give way to the next,
Relentless in its consistency and calm,
Churning and changing in the gentle light,
Never leaving the shore
The same as it was found

And so, in your daily walk,
When the call becomes a battle cry,
Let the waves land upon your heart with love,
Churning up the sediment of fear,
Disrupting the pattern of resistance,
Creating a new truth –
A truth which is only found inside

Mystery

Photo with person and angel wings

You’re here for a purpose
Lifetimes in the making
Converging now in this time,
This place,

For reasons of ancient intent and current necessity,
Your purpose now partially appearing
From behind the shroud of your mind,
Whispering hints as you manage,
Never giving up hope,
Always fighting back fear,

The world a vast mystery in the palm of your hand
Secure in your knowledge of purpose and reason
Yet “what,” “why,” and “how,”
These are the questions unanswered,

Revealed in due time
With the precision of angels
Brought down for the peace of this world

Higher Self

beautiful woman fluttering hair and space earth

Under the night sky my mind wanders,
Floats to different days,
Times of great strife and great plenty,
Times when the wind howled
But I was not afraid
Because I knew you

Then, the light shone through
And illuminated the world,
Each being, each dark soul
Crossing the bridge, starting a new life
Out of the darkness
Drawn like moths to flame
The flames of their hearts longing for something new
A lighthouse in the mist to guide them home

Once across they huddled ‘round
Reaching toward your robes, your wings,
But you sent them on,
Moving forward,
Driven not by you,
But by the light they now carried too
Their own light of discovery and transformation,
A light for survival in a dark world,
A light of hope
Powered by love

This light you carry never dims
Unless you choose to no longer see
And all I need do to see it too
Is set my dreams to higher times,
And the dimension where the self
Inherently knows the way

To the light
To the love
To the power within to bring men home

What Time Does Love Take?

Summer love

What time does love take?
Time to fill us up and still leave room for more
To be burned and still long for the heat
To be cut and still desire the pain

In love, we come together as one
All pretenses fall away
Only souls laid bare and open
With the intensity of true connection

Time held for fighting does not fill the emptiness
Only open hearts,
Open to love
The hunger this aching world needs to be sated

What time does love take?
All the time in the world
And all the space in our hearts

Pure Light, Pure Love

Angelic being obscured

My desire to be part of this world
And also to be separate are at odds
While the quiet thunder that sounds inside
Draws me out into a world that needs my light
And yet shuns the darkness
That it secretly embraces

The light an assault
On skin too raw to accept,
Painful from the lack of exposure
Yet desperately longing for more

Longing for openness
Never before experienced
But known by the soul
The acceptance of life in its purest form
Pure light, pure love
